Who's Right?
Luke 18.9-14

"God,
see that fellow there -
a no-hoper
if ever there was one.
Had a bad start, I guess,
yet never used the chances
that he's had.
Now you just watch him, God,
he'll never make it good,
not that one.
It's not just
that everything's against him -
he's against himself,
that's it.
God,
I thank you
I've had a better start
and better breaks
than him.
I've used my chances well,
now, haven't I, God?
I guess I'm setting
a pretty good example
for the likes of him,
if only he'd notice..."

take pity on me,

I tell you,
this one went home
right with God
rather than the other.
