I am Yours

He said,
"Put first things first,
and God comes first.
He has first claim
on time,
on talents,
on all you have!"

I said,
"But, Lord,
I have to think of me.
Surely you made life
that I might enjoy it,
so that all that's good
might be mine."

I saw a Cross,
and there I saw
his love,
his giving all
for me.

"Lord,"
I said,
"Take me and mine,
for I am yours!"
