Amazing Love!

No better bed
than beastly hay
on which to lay
his infant head.

For he had come
without demand
to holy land
to make his home.

On wooden cross
they seal his fate
’mid human hate
and human loss,

but cannot bind
redemptive grace
for fallen race
and human sin.

Amazing love –
from borrowed womb
to borrowed tomb
to heaven above!

For yes, he lives –
the tomb was weak!
To all who seek
new life he gives!
