In a Manger Lowly

In this world the Christ was born in a manger lowly;
Son of man and Son of God, he was pure and holy.
Born to save them from their sin, to a cross they nailed him -
Risen powerful from the grave, Lord of all triumphant.

Christ the Saviour, be my Lord, every day for ever.
Save me, keep me, love me still - let me leave you never.
Bringing to the Father God all who truly trust you,
let your will in me be done - praise to you for ever!

Trumpets of our God shall sound, Jesus Lord proclaiming;
at his name each knee shall bow, as their true Lord naming -
some in guilt confess their shame, others shout his glory.
Use me, Saviour, even me, speaking now your story!
