Glorious Lord!

Heavenly glory
was concealed
in him
was heavenly love
revealed.

We did not know
and would not hear
the falling blow
of mortal fear
that held this race
in sinful night
who fled his face
who has the right
to judge and toss
in deepest hell
each sinner lost
since Adam fell.

Heavenly glory
was concealed
in him
was heavenly love
revealed.

His glory hid,
God’s love to show,
we tried to rid -
we did not know...
"Father, forgive",
his dying cry.
In him we live -
we know not why
his life was poured
for sinners given -
he is the Lord
of earth and heaven!

Heavenly glory
was concealed
in him
was heavenly love
revealed.

Heavenly glory
now restored,
we worship him
our glorious Lord!
