It is so easy
to be still
on lofty vantage-point
beholding
grandeur
and beauty
unspoiled
by human
intervention.
But life
is growth
and change.
My personal
tranquility
is bound
to get ruffled
by other wills
than mine.
My personal
peace
may well
intervene
in other lives.
Be still
before the Lord!
Wait patiently
for him,
filled
with his stillness!
