Holy Land 2001 Golan Photos

PB HomeIsrael TourNotesPhotos

Background: The Golan consists of a chain of high peaks which overlook the Sea of Galilee and form a barrier between the fertile Jordan Valley and the arid Syran lands to the east. Israel captured the Golan in 1967, making further gains in 1973. The land is very fertile and new Jewish settlements have been established there.
