Saints Alive! is a series of addresses given at the Festival of the Holy Spirit in Townsville, Queensland, 23 to 26 May 1985. Chapters are “Man Alive!” (the resurrection of Jesus), “A New Creation”, “The Living Body”, filled with the Spirit”, God’s Call”, “Appendix – Baptism in the Spirit”. “SAINTS ALIVE! – a description of the first-century church, but, sadly, with some notable exceptions, not of the church today. Why the contrast? It is not that there is no longer any Good News, nor that this Good News is no longer effective in saving and transforming those who believe. It is not that the Holy Spirit is absent or has somehow been withdrawn from believers in Jesus Christ.”
